PURE Summer 2026 Successfully Completed

Sabancı University’s Program for Undergraduate Research (PURE) Summer 2026 successfully concluded following an intensive research period held between July 6 and August 20.

This year, PURE received 10,176 applications, with 201 undergraduate students participating in the program. Bringing together students from 20 countries, including Türkiye, PURE Summer 2026 welcomed 131 students from 30 universities in Türkiye and 70 students from 41 universities abroad. Under the supervision of Sabancı University faculty members, students participated in research projects across various disciplines and gained valuable academic research experience.

PURE Summer 2026 concluded with the Poster Presentations, where students showcased the research they had conducted throughout the program. The event was held with the participation of Sabancı University President Prof. Yusuf Leblebici, Vice President for Education Prof. Cem Güneri, and Dr. Baransel Mızrak from the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB). Bringing together faculty members and young researchers, the event provided students with an opportunity to present their research, exchange ideas, and share the knowledge and experience they had gained throughout the program.

Of the 201 students who participated in research projects during PURE Summer 2026, 193 successfully completed the program requirements and became eligible to receive certificates. By bringing together young researchers from different universities and countries at Sabancı University, PURE Summer 2026 contributed to students’ academic research experience, created opportunities for interdisciplinary interaction, and encouraged their active participation in a vibrant research culture.
